Council members were elected by industry peers and reflect a broad cross-section of industry and government perspectives.

QSIC aims to strengthen the existing relationship between the screen industry and the Department of Education, Training and the Arts (DETA), the Pacific Film and Television Commission (PFTC), and the Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry (DTRD&I).
